This product was designed primarily to facilitate the removal of dull stains on polished marble. The process requires manual effort, which, if performed correctly, can be mi-nimal. Marble dullness is generally caused by corrosion by acids. The extent of corro-sion depends on the level of acidity and the length of exposure: it can range from mild to severe. Using appropriate abrasives allows the removal of even very rough corro-sion stains. However, the greater the severity of the corrosion, the greater the manual effort required to remove it. For this reason, each stain must be carefully assessed be-fore proceeding, avoiding the use of overly aggressive abrasives when unnecessary. A reliable method for estimating the degree of corrosion is based on the tactile percep-tion of the dull area, according to the following scale:
